The Launch of Emmanuel Outreach Mission-異象分享會 Vision-sharing event!

Emmanuel Outreach Mission began gospel gatherings since January 2014.

Right Reverend Stephen Leung (Suffragan Bishop of the Asian and Multicultural

Ministries in Canada) provided oversight for the group, and it is locally assisted by

Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Marlborough, MA.

After almost a year of praying, seeking, and waiting, Emmanuel Outreach

Mission was officially launched on November 1 6, 2014, with a vision-sharing event at

VFW George Dilboy Post in Somerville, MA. More than fifty church leaders and fellow

Christians in the Boston area attended. The event began with songs, prayers, and

scripture reading. Bishop Stephen Leung and Rev. Anson Ann from Vancouver,

together with church planters Dennis Pang, Jacquelin Pang, and minister Carmen Mei,

recounted how the Spirit reconnected these former Episcopalians from Boston,

Vancouver, and Hong Kong over the last year to serve the Lord with one love, one

faith, one passion, and one vision.

They shared their vision of reaching out to the Chinese community with a

focus on family and children ministries in the northern suburb of Boston. While they

could hardly contain their excitement of beginning a new chapter of the mission group,

they remained equally vigilant confronting the challenges ahead.

Pastor Daniel Chan, senior Chinese pastor of Boston Chinese Evangelical

Church, responded to the presentation with encouraging words. Donation and pledges

were collected. The event concluded with benediction by Bishop Stephen, yet the

fellowship and conversations among the participants continued throughtout the

refreshment hour. May the Holy Spirit continue to inspire Emmanuel Outreach Mission

and all of us in responding to the mission of His church and in expanding His kingdom.

Emmanuel!
